International Year of Astronomy 2009
2009 is the International Year of Astronomy, and this page will be updated to reflect the activites that BAS will be taking part in.
At present, the events list looks like:
The following events start at 7pm
- 30th January - Observing Venus and 4 day old moon
- 27th February - Observing Nebula
- 20th March - Observing Saturn
The following events start at 8pm
- 9th October - Observing Clusters
- 27th November - Observing 11 day old Moon and Jupiter
In case of cloudy skies, alternate dates/events will be arranged. Details of all the events will appear in the local press nearer the time. See the news section on the right for further info.
